Hi friends! I hope you’re all doing well!

Summer has gone by so quickly, especially August! Last month, my friend and I saw Billy Idol and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts at Madison Square Garden. It was a fun and memorable night with plenty of rain, tacos, and a hike up to our seats in the nosebleeds. We laughed our way up and up and up and felt like Sookie and Lorelai at the Bangles concert (from Gilmore Girls).

The last week of August was spent with some of my family visiting from the Philippines. One of my favorite moments with them was laughing and talking about family lore over Chinese hot pot.

It inspired this sketch below with anthropomorphic creatures. Maybe I can finish this drawing for a November or December postcard?

⚘Update for Pet Patreon Easter Egg⚘

Speaking of anthropomorphic creatures! I want to update the Pet Patreon Easter Egg after this month. I’ve caught up with all the pets in our last shared folder and I’ll be including the last pair for this month’s postcard.

What are the changes?

I want to work on my portfolio more and create a small town filled with consistent anthropomorphic animals. (Totally inspired by Moomin, Richard Scarry’s Busytown, and after playing D&D)

⚘ September Snail Mail Sketches ⚘

This month’s postcard will be a bookstore owner hanging up Halloween decorations outside their shop featuring a patron’s pets. Here is the sketch so far…

The sticker will be a Pumpkin Ghost and the bookmark will also include the pumpkin ghost showing off their pumpkins in different poses.
